? Do I need to know how to kayak?
No. Most of our clients are first time kayakers, so we provide you with a briefing about how to kayak prior the excursion.
? Do I need to be a certified diver for the diving trips?
Yes and No. Yes for the Diving Adventure, and No for the Learn to Dive Adventure, where we’ll teach you to dive.
? Is there a good place near to eat after the excursion?
Of course! After the trip, ask to your guide to recommend a local restaurant in the area.
? Will you give us any water or snacks, or do we have to bring them?
We provide Water and Snacks. With watersport activities it is important to be hydrated all the time. As a matter of fact we’ll provide you with plenty of water, local fruits, and for full day adventures, we provide you with lunch.
? Is it safe for kids?
Yes, but the minimum age for any of our trips is 6 years old. Our personnel are completely trained on safety and rescue management. In this way kids and parents will feel comfortable all the time. It is very important to notify us how many kids will be on the trip and their ages.
? Should I bring a camera?
Yes if it is a waterproof camera. If not, we recommend that you don’t. We take a lot of pictures on most of our trips and post them on our Facebook page a gift and reminder of your memorable day.
? Are there any health restrictions for participation in kayak trips?
This excursion is not recommended for people with: Recent surgeries, heart conditions, strong asthma, pregnant women, persons taking high blood medication, children under six years, people under alcohol influences, afraid to the dark, or with panic attacks. Also the participants should be able to stay on a seating position for at least two hours. The combined weight for a two-person kayak cannot exceed 400 pounds.
? Can the Bio Bay luminescence be seen on full moon nights?
Yes and you can see where your going most of the time.
? Can the Bio Bay luminescence be seen any night of the year?
Yes, the Bio Bay Laguna Grande in Fajardo is one of the few places in the world that the glowing effect can be appreciated on any given night! This is completely natural phenomenon and the intensity of the glow could vary.
? How easy is to kayak on the Bio Bay?
Easy enough in most of the time. How hard it could get? This depend on how high or low is the tide on that night.
? Is it ok to tip the tour guide?

Yes. The owner must contact the company to notify about the service animal ahead of time. Owner must provide the animal’s life vest which is mandatory in our tours as a safety measure. Under ADA, emotional support or comfort dogs are not service animals because providing emotional support or comfort is not a task related to a person's disability.
? Do I need to know how to swim?
- We always play by the rule “safety first”, so we provide you with life-vest and carry a rescue tube, in this way you will have buoyancy and will feel comfortable and safe in the water.
- If it’s for the ‘Learn to Dive Adventure’ and other diving adventures you will need to know how to swim.
? Do I need to rent or bring the gear for any trip?
In every snorkelling and 'Learn to Dive Adventure' Pure Adventure will provide you with all the necessary equipment, so as our guest, you will have fewer things to carry.
Certified divers can bring their own gear or you can rent them from Pure Adventure's Dive Center.
